Essie - Borrowed and Blue

Hi girls! I’m hoping that everyone is having a happy Thursday and your week has been wonderful so far!

As January comes to an end and spring time approaches, I start to get very excited about the new things that come about. Primarily, the colorful clothes, accessories and jewelry, too! One of my favorite nail polishes of all time contains everything that is so delightful about spring. Essie - Borrowed and Blue is one of the most adorable light pastel blues out on the market. What I love about it most aside from its beautiful, delicate blue color is its consistency that's so easy to work with. I used two coats and it gave me a great even coat on my nail. Borrowed and Blue is like none other in my opinion. I absolutely adore it and I hope you will too!

Thanks for reading and talk to you soon!

Essie - A Crewed Interest

Hello, hello all and happy Monday!

I know that Mondays can be pretty daunting and painful for most. So, in light of that, I wanted to do something a little different and incorporate a quote into today’s post.
Over thinking only leads to negative thoughts. You’ve got what it takes, but it will take everything you’ve got. TODAY IS A NEW DAY! Now, go make it amazing!

I openly admit that the very first time I ever tried on this color, I was not a fan of it. A couple of my clients had ordered it and while yes, it is a color that has its originality to it, I would’ve preferred to purchase another. However, for those of you (you know who you are) that did have the beautiful taste and bought it from yours truly, I salute you! Great choice! I am so happy that I gave this color a second chance. I used three coats of polish for this one because I just like for the color to completely capture its essence and I felt that it was better with three coats.

Happy Monday and I hope you’ve all enjoyed this post!

Essie - Berry Hard

So I know that finding that perfect red color (for anything, really) can be extremely difficult and excruciatingly stressful. By process of trial and error, I have found one of my new favorite red nail polishes ever. This one is a dark red, which most of the time in my opinion can be even more difficult to find than your typical fire engine red. Sometimes the polish can look beautiful in the bottle but when you paint your nails, it's a completely different shade (much lighter most of the time). However, just call me the bearer of fabulous news because... Essie's Berry Hard is just the most perfect dark red nail color!
As pictured above, that's how it looks like with just two coats on.

Wishing you've all enjoyed this post and if you try Berry Hard, I hope you all love it as much as I do.

Essie - St. Lucia Lilac

Good morning darlings and happy Wednesday! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend.

Waking up to a partly sunny/cloudy day in Miami, I decided to go ahead and write about something that makes me happy. To continue on with this pastel fever I’ve been experiencing lately, I decided to go with one of my favorite colors, purple. I knew that Essie had a purple color that I didn’t own but had in our shop that I had never tried. I was a little apprehensive toward it at first because it was such a light color, it ran the risk of being translucent, and we all know how I feel about those kinds of colors… haha! But, when I grabbed it however, it had an opaque aspect to it. I instantly grew fond of it. Essie’s St. Lucia Lilac is the prettiest lilac color. It is somewhat similar to Love and Acceptance but with less gray. I used two coats.

I find that this color is beautiful and perfect for the season. I’m really happy that I gave it a try and I hope that you do too!

Orly - Gumdrop

Since my love story with nail polish began, I have never been one to use Orly brand nail polish. However, through some recent findings and some research, I've grown quite fond of the brand. I'm so glad I gave it a try!

So, like the good nail polish guru that I am, I present to you Orly's Gumdrop. As one of the season's most trending color, this polish is pure fun on your nails! I painted on two coats and that was all that was needed. Super easy to work with and most importantly, its color when painted is exactly how it looks like in the bottle. This color has definitely reached my favorites list.

I hope that you've all enjoyed this post!

Thank you & talk soon!

Essie - Van D' Go

Alrighty so, it appears that I'm a victim of all things colorful and I cannot help the NEED and WANT to match my winter wardrobe with light nails.  So what, right? I happen to think that they balance each other out quite nicely.

This time I tried out Essie's Van D' Go. I speak from the bottom of my heart when I say that this is the most beautiful peachy-pink color I have ever seen in nail polish. Although light with its sorbet-like color, this polish is fantastic as it covers the nail beautifully and evenly. All you need is two coats. No signs of streaks anywhere! This color will for sure be a part of my collection forever as it should for yours as well!

(on my accent nail, I used Color Club Starry Temptress)

Thanks for reading and talk to you next time!

Essie - Mint Candy Apple

First and foremost I'd like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! I hope that 2013 is all that you want it to be :)

So right in the middle of the winter season, I usually need to take a break from the dark colors of the moment and paint my nails with something light and refreshing. And well, that's exactly what I did! I chose to use Essie's Mint Candy Apple. This color is absolutely precious and one of my very favorites! It's pretty light green-blue shade is one that's original, playful and girly all at once.

For any of you that feel just like I did, need a breath of fresh air, try this color. With its opaque consistency, you paint on two coats and you're all set!
