Essie - Dress To Kilt

Hi all! Hope you're all doing just lovely and this week is treating you well so far. As we find ourselves ending the first week of October, we are well into the fall season. And there's just something about fall that gets me excited. A certain "Je ne sais quoi". Wouldn't you agree?

As soon as Essie's 2014 Fall Collection came out I had to get my hands on them! I couldn't wait any longer to wear this beauty. Headlining the actual collection promotion, Essie's Dress To Kilt is my official new favorite red for fall and winter.

Not only is this color a complete knockout but it's fantastic to work with. It paints on evenly and covers your entire nail impeccably. It's dark red brick color would not only look ravishing on any skin tone but compliment any fall outfit.

Go out and buy this beauty! You will NOT regret it!

Thank you all for reading and I hope you've enjoyed this post.

Sparkles for Summer

Hi you all! How've you girls been? Everything going really well on my end. Just gone through some changes recently which haven't really let me write much on here but I am commited again. I set up my schedule and I cant wait!

So as you all can tell, I decided to take a small break from all of the vivid colors of the summer polishes & go with something a little more neutral, but glam! I absolutely love this color from OPI called Silent Stars Go By. Not only is it beautiful but BONUS, it's a liquid sand! So gorgeous, sparkly, classic,, elegant & fun?!? Come on! How often do you come across a color like this? If you don't have it, I strongly urge you to purchase it. You will NOT regret it! Paints on quite lovely and evenly. It's perfect for any summer occassion. I especially love pairing it with bright, vivid colored clothing. Balances perfectly.

I hope you've all enjoyed this post & are happy that I'm back. Until next time!

Stay Lovely!

Essie - Summer 2014 Collection

Good morning darlings! I hope you're all doing wonderful and I'm so sorry it's been such a long time that I haven't written on here. But it feels good to be back. Yay!

Well everyone's (at least mine) favorite season of the year is almost here! SUMMER! And I'm so happy to present Essie's Summer 2014 Collection to you all!

Haute In The Heat -
The color for which the collection was named after, is a beautiful raspberry color with a cream finish to it. Grasping the exact color shown in the bottle, this color is perfect for summer!

Ruffles & Feathers -
Oh my goodness! Hello beautiful color! This polish is simply gorgeous! It's rich green emerald color puts it on a whole different scale of its own. Such an original color & unalike from any Essie nail polish on the market. Fabulous formula to work with and true to its color seen in the bottle.

Strut Your Stuff -
Third beautiful color in a row from this exciting and lively collection is here! This cerulean color is more than what words can say. It's formula is flawless & non-streaky. To sum up, this is the perfect color for summertime.

Urban Jungle -
There isn't a single color in the past collections that I know I will get so many uses out of as this one. Wow! To begin with, this polish is extremely opaque although being a very light color. Kind of leaning towards an off-white gray that is so perfect when you just want to go for a classic manicure. You can have even coverage two coats.

So what would be the perfect summer nail polish collection without the perfect summer orange, right? This polish reminds me so much of a sort of suntan orange. Not your typical orange that normally comes out this time of year. What can I say? I love orange for summer & I love new shades of orange so this one was a given.

Fierce, No Fear
Finally the last color of the collection. I have to admit that this is my least favorite color from the collection. I honestly feel that its just not a color I would use during the summertime. It paints on well & even. Two coats are fine to use.

Thank you all for reading and tell me which ones are your favorites out of the Essie Summer 2014 Collection.

Bye guys!

OPI - Live, Love, Carnival

Hello, hello my darlings! I hope you're all doing well today and are ready to see a beautiful, fun and lively color that resembles the culture for which inspired it. New from OPI's Brazil Collection, Live, Love, Carnival is so beautiful!
This color can be used either for spring or summer and it's so easy to work with. Paints evenly and provides an outrageous vibrance of color. I used two coats in the picture above. Somewhat resembling although not the same, Cajun Shrimp and My Chihuahua Bites, Live, Love, Carnival has a bit more of a red shade to it. I simply adore this color and I know you will too. Go out and get it, you won't regret it!

Thank you all for reading and I hope you've enjoyed this post!

China Glaze - Lotus Begin

Good afternoon girls! I hope you all are having a marvelous weekend so far and that this Sunday is nothing short of lovely. A perfect day in spring wouldn't be complete without an adorable purple nail polish on my nails. I chose to go with from the new City Flourish collection, China Glaze's Lotus Begin.

This color is so cute I mean, just look at it. You do need to apply two even coats of it because the formula is not the very best to work with. When you do first apply it, it gives the impression of a matte nail polish. But then with the second coat it evens out much better. A top coat is a MUST! I used Essie's Good To Go Top Coat which provides superior shine, a strong protection against chipping and its best quality, my personal favorite, it dries extremely fast.

This color is already on my nail rack as we speak and will be used multiple times this season.

Thank you all for reading and I hope you've enjoyed this post!

OPI - Where Did Suzi's Man-go?

Bonjour mes amours! I hope your week is off to a great start and that this Tuesday afternoon is treating you well! Today's post will be about a color that I simply fell head over heels for. I can't say that I've never seen this shade of nail polish color and with such an amazing formula! Today's color is from the new OPI Brazil Collection, Where Did Suzi's Man-go?

I used my regular base coat, two coats of polish and my top coat and voila! It came out simply divine! I strongly recommend this color to anyone that likes this type of shade. Believe me, you will not regret it. You will not believe the amount of compliments I've received today already and it's only 2:40p.m!

Thank you all for reading and I hope you've enjoyed today's post.

Brand new from Essie's Spring 2014 collection, Fashion Playground is an instantaneous favorite.

Although the formula is a little sheer, I used three coats of polish and it came out how it is pictured above. Overall, I think this color is simply wonderful. I think it's pretty minty green complexion is adorable, it's a positive addition to any outfit and it's absolutely stunning for spring. If you haven't bought it yet, you NEED to! Essie 2014 Wedding Collection

Good evening all! I hope that the week has treated you well so far and it goes by quick to enjoy the upcoming weekend! I am so excited to introduce this new collection to you all as it is one of my very favorites that comes out throughout the year. Usually the colors are the prettiest shades of pastels that are perfect for the Spring season and can even work in summer. Essie's 2014 Wedding Collection has arrived at our boutique!!

She Said Yes -
Such a pretty little white! An amazing mixture of a little more opaque Essie Marshmallow and itsy bitsy little sparkles! You do have to build it up a little in order to get the true color as seen in the bottle but honestly, it's totally worth it! I am in love with this color! I used three coats in the photo below.

Got Engaged
This one is another one that you have to build up the color. Used three coats in the photo below, the final result is a lovely one indeed. The most subtle and delicate peachy-pink I've seen yet. Hate to say it but, this is another favorite.

Meet The Parents
A color made sure to signify the soon-to-be groom, this powder boyish blue is an adorable one. The formula in this one was great! It's opaque and non-streaky. I used two coats in the photo below. And aside from any wedding reference, this color is adorable for spring AND summer!! Are you keeping count? As of right now, I'm 3 for 3!

Love Every Minute -
The fourth and final color of the wedding collection, I'm definitely "Love-ing Every Minute" of this color! Hello! Isn't it just precious? Oh-em-gee you guys! Aside from it's perfect blend of color and cuteness, this color was the easiest to work with! I used two coats as pictured below and it covered beautifully! I honestly have not seen any color like this out on the market so I'm ecstatic right now.If you're planning on buying one color from the wedding collection, buy this one. All the way.

Thank you all for reading and I hope you've enjoyed this post! If you're interested in purchasing this collection please contact us via e-mail!

Essie - 2014 Spring Collection

Hello lovely people! Spring is upon us and Essie's 2014 Spring Collection is here! With 6 new shades sure to put a new and lighter bounce in anyone's step, these colors are simply divine! So without any further or due, let me introduce them to you.
Hide & Go Chic
The color for which the collection is named after, this blue is so beautiful and a definite favorite! Somewhat resembling Essie's Go Overboard, however this one is a bit more blue and not so much teal. Works well on your nail providing an even coat and fantastic cover. This is a def favorite from the collection.

Fashion Playground
Oh my gosh! Hello beautiful nail polish color that has changed my life forever! This is my favorite color out of the collection and is already on my nail polish rack next in line to be used this week. Not the most opaque color but just as beautiful. It just takes a little more dedication of three coats and you're all set. This one is a favie!

Romper Room
Calling all light pink color lovers! This color is just for you! Your typical adorable light pink for any spring fling is here! The ultimate delicate and elegant color that any girly girl can ask for. This little number is a classic. Two coats and you're done!

Style Hunter
For any of you who love those cranberry reds, this is your go to. Now I'm not usually a lover of these colors but I have to say, this one I like a lot. It has a lot of pink in it and I happen to think that it's rather fun. It also has fabulous consistency and covers beautifully. Two coats my darlings!

Spin The Bottle
The most classic of all colors, this is your safe nail polish that every girl should have. Interviews, meetings, elegant occasions, any sort of special occasion, you'll never go wrong with this type of color. A bit semi-sheer, so if you want a bit more coverage, I think you should go with three coats.

Truth or Flare
The most perfect version of a denim blue there is. This color is your ultimate unique blue that is not seen much on the market. However, if you want something in between pastel and true blue, this is your pick. Covers perfectly even and streak-less. This is a winner!

Thank you all for reading, I hope you've enjoyed this post. Tell me your thoughts on this collection in the comments below!

Til next time,

Essie 2014 Resort Collection

Good morning all! I'm very excited for today's post as it is one of my very favorites to post and see everyone's opinions, likes or dislikes. Essie's 2014 Resort Collection is here! Not only does that mean that we have another new set of colors to look forward to BUT that Spring time is coming soon!

This year's collection has four of the most cutest colors ever! All completely different from one another but nonetheless fun! Let's get started!
Resort Fling
This little number for which the collection was named after, is just the prettiest shade of orange. Looking like a peach sorbet, it's sweet and adorable. Although similar to Essie Tart Deco, this polish's consistency is more of a sheer. In order to get the full coverage, you would need to use three coats of polish instead of two.

Cocktails and Coconuts
This color is your typical nude mixed in with a little sparkle. It has the tiniest bit of shimmer included in the polish and it gives you the impression that you have those beautiful white sandy beaches literally, at your fingertips. So cute! It covers well and is easy to work with!

Find Me An Oasis
My favorite color of the collection by far! This pretty pastel blue is simply adorable! How can you say no to a color like this? There's just no possible way. It has the most perfect creamy texture that covers your nail beautifully. All you would need is two coats and you're done! This will be a definite add to my collection.

Under The Twilight
Such a beautiful purple-blue color that has the slightest resemblance to Essie No More Film. I would say that it is a shade darker than No More Film but just as gorgeous. Again, another that has fabulous consistency and even coverage. Two coats of this baby should do the job fine.

Thank you all for reading. I hope you've enjoyed this post!

Au revoir!
